New Leaders Called.

New leaders have been called to the Branch Presidency(local church leadership) of the Bardege Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located in Gulu town, just over 300kms North of the Uganda Capital, Kampala.

 

The new leadership now comprises of Mr. Okeny Joel William as Branch President with Jolly Joe Okee as First Counselor and Brandon Richard Ocitti as second counselor.

Also called was a new clerk Mr. Opwonya Robbinson.

The Bardege Branch Currently has about 229 members. The rest of the membership of the Church in Gulu are a part of the Gulu Branch with a membership of over 400.

The Branch President makes an earnest effort to ensure that all meetings and activities in the church help members come unto Christ.

He also oversees finances and is responsible to see that they poor and needy in the unit are cared for.

Speaking after his release on the 3rd of September 2017, the outgoing Branch President Phillip Odhiambo expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve as a leader in the branch and pledged his committment to support the new leaders in their responsibilities.
