Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Uganda are anxiously anticipating the viewing of a broadcast of the 186th Annual General Conference that was held in Salt Lake City, Utah, on the Weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of April 2016.
Recorded broadcasts of the the bi- annual event will be watched in all units of the Church in various parts of the country on the 9th and 10th of April 2016.

Viewing locations in Kampala and surrounding areas are, Kololo, Mengo, Mutungo, Kajjansi, Entebbe, Kabowa, Ntindi, Seeta, Mukono, Nsambya and Makindye.
Units outside Kampala, include, Lugazi, Njeru, Jinja, Walukuba, Mpumudde, bugembe, Iganga, Busia, Mbale, Lira town, Adyel, Bardege, Gulu town, Masaka town.
During the conference Church leaders and selected speakers give inspirational talks that strengthen faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and encourage members to follow after his example.
Saturday sessions are scheduled to be viewed beginning at 10:00am and will comprise a two hour morning session followed by another two hour afternoon session with a break of locally difined length in between.
Similarly the two hour Sunday morning Session will run from 10:00am followed by the two hour Sunday afternoon session with a break in between.
One other session of conference known as the priesthood session which is held at 6:00pm in Utah, will be viewed on Sunday beginging at 8:00am. This is for the men ad young men members of the church who hold the priesthood. The female members of the church will also view their special meeting known as the General Women's session at a time that will be set by individual church units.
Every six months, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gather at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City and millions more tune in via the internet and television to watch and listen to general conference.
Speakers include Church President Thomas S. Monson and his councilors in the First Presidency, members of the Quorum of Twelve Apostles, General Authorities and other General officers of the Church. They prayerfully seek inspiration to know God’s will before addressing the worldwide congregation.
