Elder and Sister Renlund Host Africa’s Youth at an Inspirational Face to Face

Watch, Ponder, and Pray

Elder Dale G. Renlund, accompanied by his wife Sister Ruth Renlund, has hosted an inspirational Face to Face event, at which youth from across Africa could ask questions and receive answers to fortify their faith and their testimonies of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Youth from across Africa tuned in through the web and via social media, while others gathered in their numbers to watch at regional locations in Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya and Togo.

Throughout the event which was broadcast over the Internet on social media and other channels, the Spirit bore witness to the truthfulness of the principles and the gospel insights that Elder and Sister Renlund were prompted to share. .

Elder Renlund is a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, the second-highest governing body in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the First Presidency being the highest).

Elder and Sister Renlund counselled Africa’s youth to hold dear to the principles that they have been taught in the gospel, but most importantly they also blessed them to know that God loves them.

Face to Face events are an important platform in the Church for teaching and engagement as they provide a seamless channel for reaching large audiences through technology as the Church increasingly becomes global.

The event was delivered in English, French, Portuguese and Malagasy.
