New Family History Research Centers for Uganda.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is set to open five new family history research centers in Kampala.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is set to open five new family history service centers in the capital of Uganda, Kampala, to facilitate the increased growth in family research registered in the nation over the past year.

Currently, the Church in Uganda has two fully operational family reseach service centers located in their buildings on Nalufenya Road in Jinja and Wampewo Avenue in Kampala.

Through family history, members  of the Church collect and document infomation about their ancestors. This forms an important part of their family heritage and identity.

As this information becomes available, members of the Church experience joy in discovering family relationships and the ability to perform what they believe to be saving ordinances in the temple made available by a loving Heavenly Father.

By setting up these additional centers and equiping them with computers, the Church will provide the tools necesary to boost family geneology work even further.

In the past year, family research has doubled drawing attention to the need to empower the people alot more.

Both church members and members of the public are welcome to use these facilities.
