Excitement Over President Nelson's Upcoming Visit to Africa

Members in Uganda are very excited that President Nelson is coming to Kenya.

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Uganda are very excited for President Russell M. Nelson’s visit in Africa.

The Church announced that for two weeks in April, President Nelson will be joined by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland together with their wives on a tour to countries in Europe, Africa, and Asia.

This news has brought so much joy to the hearts of many members in Uganda since the Prophet and President of the church will be visiting in a nearby country Kenya.

“When I heard that president Nelson was coming to Africa, the first question that came to my mind was why he was coming to East Africa. I am over joyed that he is coming to Kenya. I am preparing myself to travel to Nairobi and attend this conference. I am very positive his visit will leave a great impact in many lives” said Sister Sarah Balyejusa the Kampala South Stake Primary President.

President Isaac Etiang the branch President for Mbale branch said that “I have been a member of the church for almost 5 years and I have never seen the prophet. I have watched him during general conference and my life has been blessed as I do the things he asks us to do. Knowing that he will be coming to Nairobi Kenya has brought great happiness to not only me but also members in my branch. It is always a great blessing to have a general authority visit Africa. We are so happy and are looking forward to hearing what message he brings to us”.

While as many saints in Uganda are preparing to drive to Nairobi, a big number of them are happy that they will have an opportunity to watch the proceedings of this special conference live.
